Day 1
Addis Ababa Arrival
Arrive in Addis Ababa and transfer to hotel. City tour including National Museum (home of Lucy, the 3.2 million year old hominid), Holy Trinity Cathedral, and Merkato, Africa's largest open-air market. Welcome dinner with traditional Ethiopian cuisine and coffee ceremony.

Fly to Bahir Dar - Lake Tana
Morning flight to Bahir Dar. Boat trip on Lake Tana to visit ancient island monasteries with beautiful frescoes and religious artifacts. Visit Ura Kidane Mihret and Azwa Mariam monasteries. Afternoon drive to Blue Nile Falls, known locally as Tis Issat (Smoke of Fire). Overnight in Bahir Dar.

Bahir Dar to Gondar
Drive to Gondar, the 17th century capital. Tour the Royal Enclosure with six castles built by various emperors. Visit Debre Berhan Selassie Church with its famous ceiling of angels. Explore Fasilides Bath, still used for Timkat celebrations. Overnight in Gondar.

Gondar to Simien Mountains
